Qualifications

I have been helping people on assignments and academic material since elementary school! I graduated high school in 2013 as the Valedictorian with straight A’s and a 4.39 weighted GPA. I took 10 AP classes and went into college with over 30 credits completed, allowing me to have almost a year’s worth of material finished beforehand. I attended the Colorado School of Mines (named among the top 30 public schools in the country in 2016) for my Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Physics. Because of my inbound credits, I completed all but a few credits in my first 3 years there, allowing me to do work towards my Master’s Degree in Applied Physics during my senior year. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in 2017 (Magna cum Laude) and completed my Master’s the summer after (only needing to complete my research and Thesis).

I have been teaching as my career for over a decade. Once I completed my first years of college, I decided to also tutor the material I had become acquainted with thoroughly and rigorously, which now consists of physics, math, and chemistry. I only teach topics in which I have a lot of practical knowledge and for which I can substantially help students. I was a Teaching Assistant for both a math and science class while in college (Nuclear Physics and Differential Equations) which entailed content planning, grading, and holding office hours to help students.

I have tutored over 800 hours of science and math in the past two years (with physics including Physics 1 and 2- AP, honors and standard- Nuclear, SAT Physics subject test prep and engineering physics) and have helped students score substantially better on tests, get improved grades in their classes and achieve their various academic goals. I know the material I teach incredibly well (including where students often get caught up and how to best explain tricky topics) and enjoy imparting this to my students as well. I would love to work with you too!
